Overgrown plants invite rodents off Lakeway Drive in Bellingham
Heads up: these job stories may include photos of real pests and wildlife. Not for sensitive viewers.

This rodent job was off Lakeway Drive, near downtown Bellingham. Ferns and shrubs had grown right up against the siding and over a basement window well, giving rats and mice cover to move along the house without being seen.
Some recent trimming had already helped, but more is needed. During the inspection we also found a clear opening where rodents were getting in, with dark rub marks along the framing where they'd been squeezing through.
The lesson: keep plants and shrubs trimmed back from your house. Rodents love a hidden path to the foundation, and if they find a gap at the end of it, they'll move right in.
