Rats along the green belt: a Cordata crawlspace inspection
Heads up: these job stories may include photos of real pests and wildlife. Not for sensitive viewers.

We did a crawlspace inspection for rats at a home in the Cordata area of Bellingham. The owners had been seeing rats along the green belt and the fence line behind the property.
Green belts are great for wildlife, but that strip along the fence makes a nice, protected pathway for rats too. Homes that back up to one tend to get more rodent traffic.
To keep the rats from moving in, we placed heavy-duty, tamper-resistant bait stations around the outside of the home. That lessens the rodent pressure on the house before they ever find a way into the crawlspace.
If your yard backs up to a green belt, creek or wooded area, it's worth having your crawlspace checked and keeping a perimeter of bait stations in place.
